Increase your chances
If you want to give up smoking, you are up to four times more likely to succeed if you use some support and stop smoking medicines such as patches or gum to manage your cravings.

The NHS offers free support locally that really works. One in two people who use their local NHS Stop Smoking Service are not smoking four weeks later. If you also use products such as patches or gum to reduce your cravings, you are much more likely to be successful!
Free NHS smoking helpline 0800 169 0 169

This friendly team of trained NHS advisers are here to help you. They can give you information on stop smoking medicines available on prescription, advice on managing your cravings, and can tell you about your free local NHS Stop Smoking Services to help you create a plan of action. When you have given up you can still call for further advice, support and encouragement whenever you need it!
